Nansel and Gretel

I do not have a before photo of this desk, so you’ll have to trust me. I bought it at a garage sale for 20 bucks and it was pretty ratty. I kept it around for about a year hidden in a closet as a sewing desk before moving to Portland. Once I started using it seriously as a desk-desk, it seemed to need a little blue paint. I replaced the knobs with some super cheap ones from IKEA that were left over from Chris’ kitchen knob-replacement-project. They match the chair, I suppose, and look nicer than the originals…
Lately, I have been staring at this desk feeling like it’s not quite done. I really feel like I want to do some kind of different finish to the desk drawer fronts and replace the knobs with something awesome.
I’ve been lusting over drawer pulls from Anthropologie. Here are some of my faves for this project. sigh…
